NY Gov. Kathy Hochul Signs Child Care Leave Credit Legislation Benefiting NYC Correction Officers hired after April, 2012.

Correction Officers in CF-22 revised or enhanced plans of NYCERS (who take authorized childcare leave) are now eligible to purchase service credits!

This new legislation allows parents who took unpaid leave to care for their children – to buy back pension credit that would have been lost.
